QUETTA: Levies officials found on Wednesday 15 bullet-riddled bodies in Buleda area of Turbat, Kech District.
According to reports, the bodies, recovered from a mountainous area of the district, have been sent to a government hospital in Turbat for a post-mortem.
According to the local district administration, 11 of the 15 bodies have been identified. The deceased, who were mainly youth, hailed from Punjab’s cities of Gujrat, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab and Sialkot.
The unidentified bodies are said to be of illegal border crossers, who are not locals, who were on their way to Europe via Iran.
Levies officials are probing into the incident.
